Kharkiv – The Prosecutor General's Office of Italy sees no grounds for the extradition of former Kharkiv Regional Governor and Head of the Kharkiv Regional Branch of the Batkivschyna Party Arsen Avakov to Ukraine.

“The prosecutor general, in accordance with Article 705 of the Criminal Procedure Code, asks the Court of Appeal to state that there is no reason for the extradition of Arsen Borysovych Avakov, born in Baku (Azerbaijan) on January 2, 1964, to Ukraine,” reads the document of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Italy, the original and translation of which was posted on Avakov’s page on Facebook.
