You're reading: Justice Ministry names bribe-takers on its website

The Justice Ministry of Ukraine from January 2014 started to post on its Web site information contained in the single state register on people who committed crimes of corruption. 

As the press service of the Justice Ministry reported, the authority discloses information about people who are prosecuted for committing crimes of corruption and are found guilty by a court, as well reports on disciplinary penalties for corruption, starting from Jan. 1, 2014.

The information on the ministry’s Web site is posted within three working days from the day information into the state register was introduced.

The information includes the name, surname and patronymic of the corrupt official.

Reports about the work and post of the bribe taker at the moment they committed the crime, the form of the crime and the assigned punishment is accessible 24-hours free of charge.

The work of the single state register of people, who committed corruption actions, is provided for under the law on the principles of prevention and combating corruption.

The register started its work on Feb. 1, 2012.

As of Dec. 20, 2013, the state register contains 7,087 notes regarding the people who committed crimes of corruption.
