You're reading: Kerry may visit Moscow next week

Moscow/Washington – U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry may come to Russia at the beginning of February for negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

“Such a probability exists. However, it is not 100 percent,” a Russian diplomatic source told Interfax.

Obviously, the situation in Ukraine and Russian-U.S. relations will top the agenda for a possible meeting in Moscow.

The source also suggested that Kerry could visit Moscow ahead of the Munich Security Conference, where he would be a member of a U.S. delegation to be led by Vice President Joe Biden.

Lavrov will head Russia’s delegation to the Feb. 6-8 Munich conference.
