The United States is preparing new sanctions against Russia over the situation in eastern Ukraine, Secretary of State John Kerry has said.
He said at a press conference on July 29 that Russian President
Vladimir Putin had a choice – either to move further, or influence the
actions of separatists and resolve this conflict.
Kerry said that the European Union was also working on sanctions against Russia.
However, he said, now it is necessary to first stop the flow of arms and mercenaries across the Russian border into Ukraine.
