You're reading: Kharkiv regional council agrees PSA projects with Shell for Yuzovska field

The Kharkiv Regional Council on Thursday, Jan.17 agreed a draft PSA agreement between Ukraine and companies Shell and Nadra Yuzovska during the development of the Yuzovska field (7,886 square meters, located in Kharkiv and Donetsk region), the press service of the council has reported. 

Ecology and Natural Resources Minister of Ukraine Oleh Proskuriakov was present at a meeting of Kharkiv Regional Council.

He said that the agreement would set requirements for investors in observing ecological safety rules. In addition, the minister proposed that at the initial stage alone the investors would spend $140 million on the development of social infrastructure.

As reported, on January 16, 2013, the Donetsk Regional Council agreed the draft PSA agreement for the Yuzovska field.

In May 2012 in interdepartmental commission on PSAs declared Shell the winner for the development of Yuzovska deposit (Kharkiv and Donetsk regions) and Chevron the winner for the development of Oleska field (Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk region).
