Former education and science minister of Georgia Khatia Dekanoidze has been appointed as the Chief of the Ukrainian National Police.
His appointment was approved at a sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Nov. 4 evening.
Dekanoidze was nominated by Interior Minister Arsen Avakov and was presented by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
