Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin discussed the situation in eastern Ukraine with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier in Vienna on June 24, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry information policy department said.

“During the meeting, the parties discussed relevant aspects of
cooperation between Ukraine and the OSCE. Pavlo Klimkin informed
Lamberto Zannier of the peace plan for settling the situation in the
east of the country proposed by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko,”
it said.

“The parties particularly discussed further joint efforts toward
releasing eight OSCE observers, whom separatist groups have been holding
as hostages for nearly a month,” it said.

Klimkin and Zannier also exchanged opinions on practical aspects of the activity of a project coordinator in Ukraine.
