Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin has already left for capital of Senegal, Dakar, to participate in the 15th Summit of the International Francophonie Organization (OIF), in which Ukraine has an observer status.

“The minister will hold a number of bilateral meetings with the representatives of African and Middle East states to address to the summit participants,” the ministry’s press service reported.

Klimkin will be the first minister, who will pay an official visit to the countries of Africa.

“The minister’s visit is first of all meaningful for providing a favorable for our state position in the UN system and for building-up Ukrainian export,” the ministry stressed.
