Zhytomyr - The leader of the UDAR party and its parliamentary faction, Vitali Klitschko, has urged the democratic political forces to support the candidacy of Ukrainian confectionary king Petro Poroshenko at Ukraine's presidential elections.
“I call on all democratic forces to unite around a candidate who has the best chance to become president, a democratic candidate, a candidate, with whom we fought on Maidan, who professes democratic principles and values – Petro Poroshenko,” Klitschko said during Poroshenko’s meeting with residents of Zhytomyr on Friday.
Some 5,000 residents of the city came to meet Poroshenko, an Interfax-Ukraine reporter said.
