The leader of the UDAR Party, Vitali Klitschko, has said that he is opposed to the blocking of the Ukrainian parliament's work, but still thinks it is the only way to influence the authorities.

“I’m very negative about blocking the Verkhovna Rada. Nevertheless, we are blocking the parliament only because it is the only way to influence the authorities,” he said at an online conference on Monday.

“I’m sure that the blocking helps us to get victories. Our faction blocked the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada for 18 days and nights with the key task… For the first time in 20 years we were able to ensure there was individual voting in the Verkhovna Rada. We achieved this via blocking,” he said.
