Ukraine will be able to successfully complete negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and agree on the allocation of loans, Ukrainian Income and Tax Minister Oleksandr Klymenko said.

“I believe that we’ll bring this process to an end, and Ukraine will get a loan from the IMF. I have no doubt about it,” he said at a briefing on Wednesday.

The minister stressed that Ukraine continues to defend its national interests. However, he did not specify whether the “positive signals from the IMF” concerned an increase in housing and utilities rates for households and the freezing of wages growth.
