Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov has said he is dissatisfied with the actions of the Kyiv authorities on the development of the Euro 2012 fan zone on Khreschatyk Street in the city.

"Kyiv City Council has not worked out the fan zone deeply enough. There’s nothing of this kind in Donetsk, Kharkiv and Lviv. The interests of residents of Lviv, Kharkiv and Donetsk have been taken into account there," he said at a roundtable meeting in Kyiv on Tuesday.

He said that the government had done all it could for the residents of Kyiv.

"The local government should have done the rest," Kolesnikov said.

Speaking about signs in the city center, which many residents of Kyiv do not understand, Kolesnikov noted that these signs had been made by UEFA and that they meet European standards.
