Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Ihor Kolomoisky using own funds bought fuel for military units that are part of the southern operational command.

Deputy Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Borys
Filatov said at a press conference that some units in Dnipropetrovsk
region prior to this did not have fuel.

Filatov has not specified the sum Kolomoisky spent on fuel, but noted that “this is an enormous amount of money.”

The commander of the Dnipropetrovsk staff for national defense, Yuriy
Bereza, told reporters that all units of the southern operational
command are 50% provided with fuel and “the military units of
Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions are 100% provided with fuel” at the
expense of Kolomoisky’s funds.

He also noted that non-governmental organizations, businessmen and
the regional administration plan by March 16 to buy at least 5,000
bullet-proof vests.

“These are bullet-proof vests of a high level of protection,
including those from the warehouses of the Bundeswehr,” said Bereza.

He explained that these vests are meant for soldiers serving in the military units of the region and Crimea.
