Kyiv Circuit Administrative Court has suspended a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on appointing Yuriy Lutsenko as first deputy interior minister and acting interior minister until a court investigation is completed.

Head of the parliamentary committees for justice Serhiy Kivalov said this on Friday.

He noted that member of the Regions Party Vladyslav Lukianov filed the relevant suit at the court.

According to Kivalov, the rule of the Circuit Administrative Court has come into force.

"According to the law (part 3 of Article 19 of the Code of administrative legal proceedings) this court that has jurisdiction over all disputes regarding appointments and dismissals of Lutsenko at the Interior Ministry. Other courts of Ukraine have no right to consider suits regarding this issue," Kivalov added.

He also said that Lutsenko at the Interior Ministry was "an ordinary citizen who has no right to give orders, even to a district inspector of the police" now that the court’s ruling has come into effect.
