You're reading: Kyiv denies militants’ statements about Ukrainian offensive

The forces of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) are not conducting any offensive operations in eastern Ukraine as the militants are saying, the ATO press senter said.

“We are closely abiding by the provisions of the Minsk memorandum and protocol, we are on certain lines and points. We are not conducting any measures aimed at escalating the situation in the zone of the counterterrorist operation,” the ATO press center said on Facebook on Thursday, Nov. 6.

At the same time, the Ukrainian military do not rule out provocations by illegal armed groups aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian troops in the conflict area.

The militants of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic earlier said the Ukrainian military had begun an offensive in the region.
