You're reading: Kyiv invites international representatives to investigate jet crash

The National Bureau of Air Accidents Investigation of Ukraine has invited international aviation organizations and representatives of the Malaysian and Dutch aviation authorities to investigate the crash of a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 airplane in the Donetsk region.

Relevant notifications have been sent to the aviation authorities in
Malaysia and the Netherlands, the Boeing company, the International
Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the European Civil Aviation
Conference, Eurocontrol, the European Commission and the National
Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the Ukrainian Ministry of
Infrastructure said.

A day earlier the National Bureau of Air Accidents Investigation of
Ukraine set up a commission led by its director to investigate the
circumstances surrounding the tragedy, and consisting of representatives
from the Ukrainian State Aviation Service, the spokesperson said. The
commission has travelled to the scene.
