You're reading: Kyiv knows nothing about Russian humanitarian convoy plans but ready to examine cargo

Ukraine has no information about the nature and arrival date of the fourth humanitarian convoy from Russia, according to Ukrainian State Fiscal Service head Anatoliy Makarenko.

“We have zilch, absolutely no information,” he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday, Sept. 30.

It is hard to call the cargo delivery to Ukraine in such a way humanitarian aid, “it rather looks like a break of convoys into our territory,” he noted.

However, Ukrainian Customs and State Border Service officers are staying in Russia’s Donetsk and are ready to inspect and clear such cargo at any moment, Makarenko said.

It became known on Sept. 24 that the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry was preparing to send another humanitarian convoy to south-eastern Ukraine.
