You're reading: Kyiv mayor: Businessmen ready to finance partial restoration of Kyiv downtown

 Several businessmen have said they are ready to partially finance the restoration of Kyiv downtown, Head of Kyiv City State Administration Volodymyr Bondarenko has reported again.

 “The Kyiv budget reserved UAH 20 million foreseen to cover these
problems, which appeared. But there are also proposals from the
commercial structures, in particular, regarding major repairs of the
roads, pavements and others,” Bondarenko said in the lobbies of
Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday.

“Kostiantyn Zhevaho [Ukrainian businessman, independent MP] confirmed
that he will provide some equipment for the roads. Petro Poroshenko
[independent MP] as well, some other persons [initiated help for Kyiv],”
the Kyiv mayor said.

However, he also said that the Kyiv authorities won’t accept a
helping hand from the businessmen if the letters include conditions.
