Ukrainian interim President, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov guarantees that protesters will not be prosecuted if they vacate the administrative buildings they have occupied and lay down arms both in Luhansk and Donetsk.

“I reaffirm this position. We are constantly negotiating with
Luhansk. And I am prepared to make this decree valid for the Donetsk
region as soon as the Donetsk citizens staying on the administration’s
premises accept this proposition,” he said at a session on Thursday.

Turchynov said earlier it was unnecessary to pass a law on the
amnesty of protesters in southeastern Ukraine if they laid down arms and
vacated the seized buildings, as he was prepared to guarantee their
immunity from prosecution.
