Ukraine would like Russia to name what risks it could face after the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) is established and starts functioning from January 2015, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.

“During the next consultations (between ministries on September 12) and meetings, the Ukrainian party according to its right, which has been approved by the European Commission during the meeting last week, is going to ask Russia what risks Ukraine could face from the creation and functioning of the EEU from January 1, 2015 and the joining of new member states, in particular Armenia,” deputy information policy department director of Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Vasyl Zvarych has said.

The diplomat also added that the Ukrainian side would raise a question whether “Armenia, after entering the union, will have to reconsider customs tariffs with other WTO member countries, including Ukraine.
