MOSCOW - During their telephone conversation on May 29 Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and United States Secretary of State John Kerry discussed measures to support the efforts to assist the resolution of the Ukraine crisis through a dialogue between parties to the conflict, the Russian Foreign Ministry has said.

“The pair discussed support for the efforts to assist the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis through a steady direct dialogue between the Ukrainian sides, and the possibilities of Russian-U.S. cooperation in advancing solutions for various crises in the Middle East and North Africa, including the situations in Syria and Yemen,” the ministry said on its website.

The conversation was held at the request of the U.S., the ministry said.
