Moscow - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says he was perplexed by the European Commission's proposal on holding top-level negotiations between Russia and Ukraine on gas supply.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday, June 12, Lavrov said he had heard about the European Commission’s proposal on the matter.

“I’ve heard it, but I don’t know what they mean. There have been negotiations, and they’ll be continued. But if the Ukrainian representatives don’t have any credentials at all, then it would be difficult to further hold these negotiations,” he said.
