MOSCOW - The distribution of the Russian humanitarian aid has begun in Luhansk on Aug. 25 with the participation of the staff of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

“The aid distribution begins today. It involves representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross,” he told a press conference in Moscow on Aug. 25.

“They are advising local authorities on making distribution plans,” the Russian minister said.

Hopefully, this process will go according to the plan and those who need this aid – virtually the entire civilian population of Luhansk and Donetsk regions – will receive it, the he said.
