MOSCOW - Russia is hoping to send the second humanitarian convoy to southeastern Ukraine using the same route and parameters and agreements on that need to be reached this week, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

“We want to agree on all conditions of the delivery of the second convoy using the second route and the same parameters involving Ukrainian border guards and customs officers in the nearest future,” Lavrov told a press conference in Moscow on Aug. 25.

“We are convinced that it needs to be done this week,” Lavrov said.

“We are hoping that the misunderstanding that took place during the clearance of the first convoy will be taken into account and there will be no such artificial delays anymore,” Lavrov said.

Lavrov said that Russia is open to cooperation.
