Astelit LLC (the life:) brand) plans to fully restore the work of its Crimean network if external circumstances allow this, Oksana Rudiuk, the head of PR department life:), told Interfax-Ukraine.

“Sept. 19, life:) started experiencing problems for uncontrollable reasons when providing its services across the entire Crimea. The operator’s several optical connections were disconnected by third parties, which led to a complete shutdown of base stations in Crimea,” she said.

Despite difficulties with access to the site with damaged equipment, the operator’s technical team on Sept. 20-21 was doing everything possible to make the network resume its work, she said.

As of today, life:) was able to reconnect more than 20 percent of its base stations due to the use of alternative solutions.

In the morning of Sept. 22, the operator partially resumed communications services in Crimea after the Sept. 19 shutdown.
