LifeNews journalists Yulia Shustraya and Mikhail Pudovkin were deported from Ukraine, LifeNews reported on its website on April 25. According to LifeNews, Shustraya made contact and said Ukrainian Security Service officials had taken her and cameraman Pudovkin to the Russian-Ukrainian border checkpoint Uspenka.
The journalists said they are being deported form Ukraine because their presence on the territory of Ukraine threatens its integrity and safety.”
“Armed people in masks and without identification signs broke into the house where the Russian journalists were in the morning. They put the cameraman on the floor face down and seized all our equipment and telephones. The attackers later drove the reporters to the Russian-Ukrainian border,” LifeNews reported on its site.
LifeNews earlier reported, citing federalization supporters, that the journalists had been attacked “by thirty masked people when they were going to record an interview with an activist called Topaz.”
“Federalization supporters are saying that Ukrainian Security Council officials and Ukrainian military are behind this,” the report says.
