Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski will make a state visit to Ukraine on September 20-21 at the invitation of his Ukrainian counterpart Viktor Yanukovych, the press service of the Ukrainian president has reported, citing Head of Ukraine's Presidential Administration Serhiy Liovochkin.

Komorowski's visit will be made amid unprecedented activity in the Ukrainian-Polish dialog, fostered, first and foremost, by the close interaction between the two countries in preparing for and successfully hosting the finals of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship.

"The visit will focus on the further development of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Poland, in particular, the deepening of bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic, energy, military-industrial, cultural and humanitarian spheres. It is also planned to address the development of human contacts and the continuation of the process of reconciliation and unity between the Ukrainian and Polish peoples," reads the statement.

Special attention will be paid to the subject of Ukraine's European integration, in particular, the completion of preparations for the signing of the association agreement and the creation of a free trade area with the EU, Liovochkin said.

The Ukrainian and Polish presidents will participate in the ninth "Ukraine-Poland" economic forum and attend the opening ceremony of the memorial to the victims of political repression at the Bykivnia Graves National Cultural Reserve.
