Lithuanian and Latvian charitable organizations have delivered a humanitarian aid for soldiers from Zhytomyr region participating in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's press service has reported.

“Five tons of humanitarian aid for soldiers of Zhytomyr region
participating in the ATO were delivered by volunteers from a couple of
charitable organization from Latvia and Lithuania,” reads the Friday
statement on the ministry’s Web site.

On three minibuses, volunteers brought warm clothes, shoes,
ammunition and medicines to stop bleeding. In addition, charity
providers added leaflets for the soldiers saying “For your victory and
freedom, brothers. Lithuania is with you.”
