Director of UEFA Euro 2012 in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky has said he is sure that there is no threat to foreigners that come to Ukraine for Euro 2012.

"From UEFA’s point of view, today nothing in Ukraine threatens [the safety of] citizens of various nationalities," he said at the press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Lubkivsky said the opinion of the former captain of English national football team, Sol Campbell, concerning the problem of racism in Ukraine was a subjective one.

"He has his own opinion, and it is offensive to us," he said.

The head of Euro 2012 local organizing committee recommended all people that share this opinion come to Ukraine for Euro 2012 and see for themselves that there are no such threats.
