Director of UEFA Euro 2012 in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky has said he believes that the work of the Ukrainian police officers during Euro 2012 is fantastic.

“[Police officers are working] fantastically. You know, I cannot even
believe that these are our same police officers who worked before the
Euros. I very much hope that all those good traits, which were seen
during the tournament, will remain after the tournament,” he said at a
briefing during his visit to the fan embassy on Besarabska Square in
Kyiv on Monday.

Lubkivsky said that Ukrainian law enforcement agencies had done a
huge amount of work and showed a high level of understanding the
importance of this championship.

“So we have no other words – only words of gratitude,” he said.
