Moscow/Luhansk - Three civilians have been killed and another ten have been injured in Luhansk, eastern Ukraine, as a result of fighting over the past 24 hours, the city administration said in a press release on Thursday, July 24.
“Ambulances have responded to 145 calls in the past 24 hours. The
information available confirms that three civilians have died from
gunshot wounds and injuries sustained as a result of armed clashes and
another ten have been injured,’ it said.
Twenty buildings have been damaged by artillery fire, the administration said.
Unexploded shells have been found in the yards of several houses.
“Seven unexploded shells have been examined in the past 24 hours.
These shells are not posing any threat to people’s lives. We have also
been alerted about another three unexploded items of ammunition,” the
Luhansk administration said.
