You're reading: Lutsenko: acting minister has no right to vote at government meetings

Acting Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko has said that acting ministers have no right to vote at Cabinet of Ministers meetings.

"The difference between the duties of acting ministers and the duties of ministers lies in the fact that acting ministers have no right to vote at cabinet meetings," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Jan. 28.

He also commented on the mechanisms of the Interior Ministry’s work under him as an acting minister.

"It [the ministry] will work in the same way as it worked under [me as] minister," Lutsenko said.

He said that the ministry would guarantee "a calm and orderly election of the president".
