Lviv International Airport since June 8 to June 25, 2012 accepted over 900 flights from Denmark, Germany, Portugal, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Belarus.

According to the Lviv 2012 media center, during this period the
airport serviced about 50,000 passengers, as well as accepting eight D
class aircraft.

“Due to the efficient operation of all of the authorities, including
the Border Guard Service, the Customs Service, and the regional center
for air traffic control, the servicing of flights and passengers was
performed without delays,” the statement reads, citing the airport’s
director, Roman Hontarev.

The report also notes that since the opening of a new airport
terminal on April 12, it had handled 130,000 passengers. The airport
plans in 2012 to accept 700,000 passengers, and it is planned in 2013 to
increase this number to one million. The airport management also plans
to open new European flights and a flight to Toronto, as there is a
large Ukrainian diaspora there.
