Demonstrating the potential of the farming sector of Lviv region to investors will be one of the priorities in the work of the Lviv Economic Forum, Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Mykhailo Kostiuk has reported.

“We want to present packages on technological cooperation to our
potential investors, so they can realize our expectations,” he said at
the press conference on Friday.

According to head of regional administration, the region’s
authorities want potential investors to as involve as many local
citizens as possible in the implementation of the projects.

“Increasing employment among rural citizens is one of the most important priorities,” Kostiuk said.

Moreover, according to him, projects for the cooperation of investors
with cooperatives of small farmers of Lviv region will be presented at
the forum.

As Kostiuk reported, a governmental delegation led by Deputy Premier
and Social Policy Minister Sergiy Tigipko will come from Kyiv. Foreign
Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko, Agricultural Policy and Food Minister
Mykola Prysiazhniuk, and Economic Policy Minister Petro Poroshenko are
expected participants of the forum.

The economic forum will start on Oct. 12 and will take place at the Arena Lviv stadium.
