You're reading: Lviv Regional Council passes vote of no-confidence in regional governor Salo

Lviv Regional Council has passed a vote of no-confidence in Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Oleh Salo after a report on the implementation by the regional administration of the powers delegated by the regional council last year.

A total of 72 deputies voted for the draft decision, three voted
against it, and four abstained. A total of 79 deputies participated in
the vote.

Salo himself did not attend the session, as he left on a business
trip to Kyiv, to the Cabinet of Ministers. Instead, the report instead
of him was presented by the first deputy head of the regional
administration, Oleksiy Storchylo.

Deputies also declared unsatisfactory the work of Lviv Regional State
Administration in the implementation of the delegated powers for 2013.

On Nov. 12 last year, Lviv Regional Council also passed a vote of
no-confidence in Salo and 72 deputies supported that decision. The
decision was appealed against by the prosecutor’s office.
