Representatives of the Maidan and the Spilna Sprava (Common Cause) movement have held talks and agreed on the release by the latter of the building of the Ukrainian Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry in the center of Kyiv.

An Interfax-Ukraine reporter said that Spilna Sprava activists were currently leaving the ministry building.

According to reports, the activists will move to Ukrainian House.

The activists told Interfax-Ukraine that they were vacating the ministry building to then exchange it for the release of several hundred protesters arrested in Ukraine over the last few days.

According to them, it is also part of the agreements to be reached between the majority and opposition MPs in parliament on Wednesday.

At the same time, one of the Maidan’s commandants, Andriy Parubiy, told the news agency that members of the Maidan’s self-defense units had not participated in the release of the ministry building.

“Self-defense has nothing to do with this,” he said, adding that Svoboda activists were involved in this.
