You're reading: Major US insurer Liberty Mutual registers trademark in Ukraine

On June 25, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company (United States) registered its trademark for goods and services with the Ukrainian Institute of Intellectual Property Ukrpatent, according to the Ukrpatent website.

The company provides insurance and reinsurance services, insurance mediation services, consultation on insurance and reinsurance, management activity services, services to eliminate losses and claims settlements on all types of insurance and reinsurance, and administration of insurance and reinsurance.

Liberty Mutual Group was founded in Boston, the United States, in 1912. Its core business is auto insurance. The company has groups which operate in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

The group’s assets in 2014 amounted to $124.293 billion, net premiums – $39.631 billion. The group ranks 78th in the 2015 Fortune magazine list and has high financial strength ratings of “A” (excellent) by A.M. Best Co, “A” (strong) by Standard & Poor’s, and “A2” (good) by Moody’s.
