The administration of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic said the issue of its inclusion in Ukraine will not be addressed at the May 11 referendum.

According to the Novosti Donbassa portal, Denis Pushilin, co-chairman
of the provisional coalition government of the so-called Donetsk
People’s Republic, said on Wednesday that the question asked at the May
11 referendum will read as follows: Do you confirm the declaration of
the proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic and its sovereignty?”

Pushilin said the issue of federalization as part of Ukraine cannot
be raised, saying that “an independent Donetsk People’s Republic will
create a federation with other self-proclaimed republics – Luhansk,
Odesa, etc.”

In the meantime, protesters have vacated two floors of the Donetsk
Regional Council and the Donetsk Regional State Administration.

“Protesters have vacated the tenth and eleventh floors. The damage is
being evaluated,” the Ostrov portal has reported, citing Oleksandr
Tretiak, a representative of the operative coordination headquarters.
