Mustafa Dzhemilev, chairman of the Mejlis (parliament) of the Crimean Tatars and a national parliament deputy, says he doubts that order will be brought the land sector in Crimea

"In the past five or six years, maybe, there have been more than ten commissions. A large amount of violations [in the land sphere], not committed by the Crimean Tatars, was uncovered…" he said on the Fifth TV Channel on Tuesday evening.

At the same time, the chairman of the Mejlis said that after checks "very interesting names of high-ranking officials of Crimea, as well as Kyiv were revealed."

"That’s why I doubt a lot that illegally and unlawfully obtained land on the territory of Crimea will be returned to the state," he said.

Dzhemilev also noted that according to the statistics of the republican committee for land resources, seizures of land by the Crimean Tatars account for about 17% of the overall amount of seizures of land in the autonomy.

At the same time, according to him, the Crimean Tatars mostly seized wastelands.

According to Dzhemilev, to resolve his problems it is necessity to transfer this land to district councils so they can distribute these land plots among repatriated people.
