A former officer of the State Guard Department, Major Mykola Melnychenko, has said that Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn has filed a lawsuit against him demanding an apology.
"I clearly said that Lytvyn was an instigator of Kuchma. Besides, I want to say that Lytvyn has sued me to get me to apologize to him," he told reporters on Wednesday before visiting the Prosecutor General’s Office.
He promised to show journalists the writ.
