The militants conducted over 60 attacks on Ukrainian army positions on July 20, which included the use of weapons and tanks which is prohibited by the Minsk agreements, the army operation press center has reported.

“In all, over the past day, on July 20, eleven attacks were conducted using 152mm and 122mm artillery, 19 attacks using 120mm mortars and three attacks using tanks,” says the report posted on the press center’s page on Facebook on July 21 morning.

The militants conducted over 30 attacks in this period from 6 p.m. till midnight, the report said.

According to Kyiv, the militants’ tank shelled the Avdiyivka coke plant starting at 6.40 p.m. and their 152mm and 122mm artillery systems hit Avdiyivka residential areas at 10.10 p.m.

Ukraine observed attacks on its army positions by the militants’ weapons, outlawed by the Minsk deal, in the areas of Novhorodske, Opytne, Krasnohorivka, Nevelske, Avdiyivka and Pisky. The areas near Shyrokyne, Mayorsk, Maryinka, Bolotene and some other populated localities came under harassing fire.

As of 6 a.m. on uly 21, Ukrainian army positions came under attack from 152mm artillery pieces near Rozsadka, Mayorsk, Zaitseve and Lozove and under tank fire near Bohdanivka at 4:30 a.m. Small arms were used against the army near the Donetsk airport, Novomaryivka, Troitske, Stanytsia Luhanska and Maryinka.
