You're reading: Militants shelling Ukrainian positions 47 times over past 24 hours

Militants have violated the ceasefire in Donbas 47 times over the past 24 hours, including in contravention of the Minsk agreements, the press center of the anti-terrorist operation reported on July 28.

In particular, militants shelled Ukrainian government forces’ positions near Kurdiumivka, in Donetsk Oblast, using 152mm artillery guns from Horlivka for half an hour starting from midnight, it said.

Militants also shelled several other Ukrainian positions last night, including those near Travneve with tanks, near Avdiyivka with 120mm mortars, and near Opytne with 122mm artillery pieces, it said.

“Positions near Maryinka were shelled with 120mm mortars later,” it said.

“Militants used a tank and fired 82mm mortars toward Kreidiana Hora for several hours,” it said.

In addition, militants shelled Ukrainian government forces’ positions near Stanytsia Luhanska, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, Opytne, Avdiyivka, and Mykolayivka, it said.
