You're reading: Minimum stipends to grow from September

Minimum stipends for students at vocational schools, universities, as well as stipends for orphans and children deprived of parental care, will grow from September 1, 2012, according to government resolution No. 703 of July 25 posted on the government's Web site on Monday.

According to the document, the minimum stipend for vocational school
students will grow to Hr 275, students of higher educational
establishments of the first and second accreditation levels earning
junior specialist’s or bachelor’s degrees will get Hr 550, and students
of higher educational establishments of the third and fourth
accreditation levels earning bachelor’s, specialist’s and master’s
degrees will get Hr 730.

In addition, from September 1, social stipends for students who are
orphans and children deprived of parental care, as well as students who
were left without parents during their studies at the age of 18 to 23
years, will grow to Hr 850 per month, whereas stipends for students of
universities who are orphans and children deprived of parental care, as
well as students who were left without parents during their studies at
the age of 18 to 23 years, will grow to Hr 1,760 per month.
