A missile system from which the firing was made was located in the territory controlled by militants,” press secretary of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff Vladyslav Selezniov told Interfax-Ukraine on Oct. 10.

According to the report announced by the international group of experts conducting an investigation into the causes of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing crash in eastern Ukraine, the airliner was downed by a Buk surface-to-air missile on July 17, 2014.
