Representatives of Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and oil and gas tycoon Dmytro Firtash will pen a new education bill. Osvita.ua writes that scientists, education experts
and representatives of employers’ federation,
the student government, ministries and departments are working together to
write a new bill to bring up education standards in the country.

Opposition parties in Ukraine’s parliament have suggested to make it a criminal offense for deputies to change parties. Kommersant
writes that consequences of such behavior would be confiscation of personal property and incarceration
for up to 10 years.

officially became a member of opposition party Batkivshchyna, reports
Ukrainska Pravda.
But journalists are questioning the success of this action, saying that the move won’t raise his popularity in the country.
