Moscow welcomes the agreement on delivering Russian humanitarian aid to eastern Ukraine and warns against provocations to disrupt this convoy, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Aug. 21.

“We welcome the achievement a final agreement on all parameters the urgent delivery of Russian humanitarian aid to south-eastern Ukraine along the Izvaryne-Luhansk route,” the document said.

“The main thing now is to ensure that all failures are ruled out at the stage of convoy proceeding to its destination. Russia confirms strong safety guarantees for the convoy. The same guarantees were provided by the Ukrainian authorities and the militants,” the Foreign Ministry said.
