Over 49 percent of Russian citizens would not support a boycott of Ukrainian goods until the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine ends, the All-Russia Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) said citing polls held.

“A boycott of Ukrainian goods until the end of the conflict in
eastern Ukraine would be supported by 42 percent of Russians, while 39 percent of
Russian citizens disagree with this proposal,” VTsIOM Chief Valery
Fyodorov said at a news conference on Thursday.

As to business relations between Russian companies and Ukrainian
enterprises, “45 percent of respondents think that our enterprises should stop
doing business with the Ukrainian party. And 40 percent support maintaining
partnership relations,” Fyodorov said.

VTsIOM held initiative polls in 2014 in 130 cities, towns and villages in 42 Russian regions among 1,600 respondents.
