National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz Ukrainy hopes that hearings in principle in claims against Russia's Gazprom at the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce will begin in the coming weeks, Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolev told reporters in Kyiv on July 23.

“The procedures to appoint arbitrators and settle other formal issues
are under way now. We hope that the formalities will be completed
within weeks, and hearings in principle will begin,” he said.

Kobolev says that Naftogaz is doing its best to step up the process,
while Gazprom uses the formally set terms for its actions, and these
terms cannot be limited.
