 National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy is ready to resume gas supplies to combined heat and power plant five and combined heat and power plant six of public joint-stock company Kyivenergo if the schedule for paying the debt for gas consumed is agreed and the conditions of the agreement on the new supplies are observed, the press service of the state holding has reported.

The press service said that at present, the company strictly observes the order of the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry of Ukraine of Sept. 30, 2014 on the conditions of gas supplies to combined heat and power plants in Kyiv.

‘According to the order, gas deliveries to combined heat and power plants of Kyivenergo are possible only if the company pays the debt for natural gas consumed in line with the schedules agreed by Naftogaz Ukrainy and Kyivenergo and the fair observation of the conditions of the agreement after resumption of gas supplies. At present, Naftogaz has not received proposals on the schedule of debt payment from its largest debtor among consumers,’ reads the report.

The press service said that as of October 2, 2014, the debt of Kyivenergo to Naftogaz Ukrainy for natural gas consumed since 2011 amounts to Hr 1.24 billion. The households that are the largest consumers of heat and hot water services (around 80 percent of consumption) pay on time and almost in full.
