Ukraine's national budget could fall short of Hr 1.6 billion in October 2014 from the eastern regions of Ukraine due to the armed conflict, while in September the indicator came to Hr 1.8 billion, Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Ihor Bilous has said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

“We haven’t revised the budget realistically, and it still orients to the growing economy, but this does not happen, you see. We had minus Hr 2.8 billion in September – this is 100 percent for the balance with minus VAT [value added tax],” he said.

The State Fiscal Service expects that the same figure will be in October.

“We have a target of adding 40 percent on October 2013. How do you think if it is possible to fulfill with the current situation in the country? However, despite this, we are ahead of the schedule by 1.7 times – we collected quicker. We collect more VAT thanks to the large reduction of schematic tax credits. In addition, in October we expect that we fall short of around Hr 1.6 billion in the national budget from the eastern regions. In

In addition, in September 2013 the state treasury fell short of many royalty fees – around Hr 1.4 billion, and in October we expect that the figure will be some Hr 600-700 million.
